Financial Breakthrough Vol. 1: Speaking Finances Into Existence

Is it possible to receive a financial breakthrough by speaking finances into existence? Does God really give people money, or is that just a trap so many of us have seemingly fallen into believing?

Many people try a lot of formulas, strategies, and methods thinking they’re going to receive their blessing.

Some people think, “There must be a better way to get God to give you money… right?”

Ugh!

I’ve certainly heard the horror stories of people trying to twist God’s arm to give them money, but as you continue, I will share with you my journey with the Lord on speaking them into existence when I was headed into a financial disaster without even knowing it.

What happens is some people tend to start doing things out of desperation and start losing faith…

“Did I not…”

  • fast long enough?
  • pray hard enough?
  • or tell enough people about Jesus?

“Well, God, You know I…”

  • gave money to receive it back 30, 60 or 100 fold
  • did good deeds to earn cash from You
  • quoted scripture to remind You of Your promises

“… but I didn’t receive anything in return.”

“You saw these things, right, God???”

They end up questioning themselves, others, and perhaps God too.

Stickmen Talking - Financial Breakthrough

All these things can leave people feeling empty and broken.

Worse yet, it can turn into offense and bitterness, which injures yourself and others along the way.

Watch the video and hear what happened.

My Journey of Receiving a Financial Breakthrough and Speaking Finances Into Existence…

I’m grateful to have witnessed God provide a financial breakthrough for several people in need, both at work and elsewhere.

He’s directed me to talk with people that just so happened to be struggling financially.

Afterward, they left encouraged and continued their journey, trusting the Lord to provide for them… and He did.

I’m not special.

God can choose to co-labor with who He wants, and He wants to co-labor with you. He gets all of the glory, honor, credit, and praise.

Here Are Some Discussion Points About Financial Breakthroughs

Are You Advocating The Prosperity Gospel?

As I expressed in the video, I plan on discussing that topic in another post because it’s a lengthy subject that I want to dedicate an entire post to explain the prosperity gospel.

Has There Been A Time When You’ve Spoken Finances Into Existence For Yourself?

Yes, and I plan on writing a few volumes to build people’s faith in this area.

In the video testimony, I tell you why I chose to pray those words for a Financial Breakthrough.

I wasn’t…

  • in a financial crisis that I was aware of.
  • praying so God would save my job because I was fearful of losing it.
  • praying to get money so I could be rich.

Why Did You Choose To Pray Those Prayers For Your Financial Breakthrough And Do You Consider That A Formula, Strategy Or Method?

I was taught that short prayers are still answered, so they do not need to be lengthy (Matthew 6:7).

While this scripture says not to repeat your prayers, contextually, it’s talking about vain repetitions (for a show – for the purpose to be seen) of meaningless words (to be heard) and not letting your prayers become mechanical (i.e., without heart).

I know God hears me (I’m His son – little “s”), so I wasn’t doing this in vain (for a show – to be seen so people would think I’m so spiritual) or because I thought God wasn’t hearing me.

Remember, the Lord prayed three times using the same words (Matthew 26:44).

I believe that just one word is enough to change a circumstance because it’s not with lengthy flowery prayers that move mountains… It’s the prayer of faith that moves mountains.

I do not believe that me speaking those words has turned into a formula, strategy, or method, but someone could if they took faith out of the equation.

I don’t pray that way all of the time, either.

I don’t trust in doing that to get me what I want, because my trust is in Jesus Christ.

Unfortunately, some people have turned to trust in formulas, strategies, and methods because they complicate the gospel or don’t believe God is Whom He says He is and does what He says He’ll do. ~ Kevin Rape

Ouch!

But it’s the sad truth, and I certainly don’t want people to fall into that trap or think that I haven’t done some of those things myself before learning the lesson I shared in the video.

May the Lord reveal my heart to you to let you know I don’t think I’m better than anyone.

You Shared About Living Righteously Before God In Your Testimony… Is That A Works-Righteousness Method To Earn A Blessing?

I certainly didn’t choose to live righteously to obtain a blessing. Someone could try to earn a blessing by works, as I mentioned above.

We’re already blessed with every Spiritual blessing (Ephesians 1:3).

You can’t earn a gift. It would no longer be a gift if you deserved it because you would have received it by merit and not free of charge. That’s why it’s called grace (i.e., unmerited favor).

You may believe we are righteous and don’t have to live righteously before God (i.e., Sloppy Agape, Hyper Grace), but Jesus lived righteously before God, and we are to follow Him and His ways.

We are also told to live righteously before God (Titus 2:12, Luke 1:75, 2 Timothy 3:12, 1 Peter 2:24 – there’s probably plenty more)

God blesses both the righteous and the unrighteous as well (Matthew 5:45, Luke 6:35).
